Kimonos for Spring

Kimonos are a big trend for spring and can be found in several boutiques and clothing stores such as Nasty Gal and Free People. From the runways, designers have brought back this trend with kimonos that vary in length, print, and fit within their spring collections. Having a kimono is an essential for spring because it can be worn over almost anything including dresses, maxi skirts or jeans and is a great piece to add to give your outfit a pop of color or print. As it begins to get warmer, it is time to shed winter coats and replace them with light and breezy kimonos to create an effortless bohemian look. IMG_0774

The last time I went to Urban Outfitters with my friend, I had her model a couple of the kimonos that we both loved on top of other pieces from the store. In this photo, she wore black high-rise shorts and a knit crop top underneath the Ecote crinkle square kimono jacket.IMG_0775

Above she wore the band of gypsies angel kimono dusters jacket over a peach top with a fringe hem and denim high-rise shorts.
